Peak District Wall Map 50 x 70cm

£395.00

The Peak District National Park Wall Map is carved from oak and engraved with a sharp, clean map design. This highly detailed piece shows the varied landscape of the “Peak” including many footpaths, water features, hills, towns and surrounding areas.  It is 50cm width x 70cm height.  The depth is 4cm with a backing that provides a 1cm gap against the wall.

We use FSC certified staved oak, formed from several solid pieces. This is then carved to shape based on Ordnance Survey height data. The map is also based on OS data and is engraved onto the shaped surface. It is carefully finished with a natural blend of oils and waxes.

The Peak District National Park became the first national park in the United Kingdom in 1951. With its proximity to the cities of Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby and Sheffield, and access by road and rail, it attracts millions of visitors every year.
