The Ben Nevis Wall Map is carved from solid maple and engraved with a sharp, clean map design. It is 30cm square and can be easily hung on the wall.
We use FSC certified staved maple, formed from several solid pieces. This is then carved to shape based on Ordnance Survey height data. The map is also based on OS data and is engraved onto the shaped surface. It is carefully finished with a natural blend of oils and waxes.
Ben Nevis (Scottish Gaelic: Beinn Nibheis) is the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,345 metres (4,411 ft) above sea level, it is at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Lochaber area of the Scottish Highlands, close to the town of Fort William.
